I am pleased to personally welcome you to the new website of the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the Federal Republic of Germany. It is very much an honor to represent Afghanistan as its Ambassador in Germany. The two countries are united by more than 100 years of diplomatic relations, friendship and strong partnership based on shared democratic values, commitment to human rights and mutual respect.    
On behalf of the Government and our people, I would like to express sincere gratitude and acknowledge Germany’s active engagement and partnership with Afghanistan over the past decades. Especially since 2001 Germany has continued to play a significant and key role in fostering peace, stability, prosperity and reconstruction in Afghanistan.
Germany has provided a wide range of humanitarian and development assistance that has helped improve the lives of millions of Afghan people, especially that of women and girls. Our security forces have been benefiting from Germany’s security assistance, training and advice. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express our gratitude, and pay tribute to, all German service men and women who have served in Afghanistan, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend human rights, freedom and democracy in our common fight against international terrorism.
Germany hosts one of the largest Afghan diasporas in the world, many of whom are well integrated into, and are playing a positive role, in German society. Unlocking the potential human capital of the diaspora can have a significant impact on expanding cooperation and deepening partnership between the two countries. I look forward to working closely with, and serving them all. The Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Berlin, along with our Consulate Generals in Bonn and München, will continue to work with all stakeholders and are committed to providing and improving standards of consular services.
We remain committed to strengthening our enduring partnership and cooperation by building on the efforts of the past two decades. Our team at the Embassy and I will make every effort to further expand our bilateral relations in the years to come. My mission objective is to focus on deepening our cooperation in the areas of peace, security, humanitarian assistance, economic & human capital development, promotion of trade, investment and cultural ties. We hope that our efforts will lead to forging new potential agreements across these areas of mutual interest between our Governments as well as strong partnerships amongst the private sector entities in both countries.
