
POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE
The Embassy of Afghanistan in Berlin processes the Police Clearance requests for:
1. Afghan nationals who live in Germany
2. Foreign nationals who live in Germany and worked/lived in Afghanistan.
I. Afghan Nationals
- All Afghan nationals should read the following information and instructions carefully:
- Appointment: Can be obtained online through our website.
- Required Documents:
- A) Application letter. an Afghan applicant should write a request letter addressed to this Embassy and outline (a) the services needed; (b) personal details (name, father’s name, date and place of birth); (c) current address; and (d) contact number.
B) Application Form. An Afghan applicant should complete this FORM in English and Dari/Pashto.
C) Fingerprints. All ten fingerprints will be taken in the designated form. Download fingerprints FORM.
D) Passport Copy (Afghan and German passports).
E) Tazkira Copy. An Afghan applicant should submit a copy of his/her Tazkira.
If the applicant does not have a Tazkira, she/he should include a Tazkira copy of his/her parental relatives such as father, grandfather, siblings, uncles (father’s brothers), aunts (father’s sisters) and paternal cousins.
F) Copy of German Residence Permit
G) Express/Registered self-addressed envelope. An Express/Registered self-addressed return envelope MUST be included in the postal package. Without this, the General Consulate will NOT be able to send you back the results. - Fee: Embassy will charge 15.EURO for one application. Payable at EFTPOS machine in Embassy.
- The Embassy does NOT accept cash under circumstances.
- Procedure: Please note that this is a time-consuming process and requires the engagement of multiple agencies.
- A) Once the Embassy receives the package by post, it will be processed within 1 working week provided that the required documents are complete, and send it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
B) The MoFA sends the documents to other relevant authorities for processing.
C) The MoFA shares the results with the Embassy after receiving a response from relevant authorities.
D) After the Embassy receives the Police Clearance results from MoFA, A Police Clearance Certificate will be issued by the Embassy and will be sent to the applicant by post (It is extremely important for ALL applicants to include an Express/Registered self-addressed envelope in the initial postal package and send it to the Embassy).
II. Foreign Nationals residing in Germany:
- All non-Afghan applicants should read the following information and instructions carefully:
The General Consulate is not liable for any documents which are damaged or lost during delivery, it s recommended that you send your mail via ‘registered post’. Please include an extra envelope for the return of your documents. - Appointment: Can be obtained online through our website.
- Required Documents:
- A) Request letter. A Foreign applicant should write a request letter in ENGLISH addressed to this Embassy and outline (a) the services needed; (b) personal details (name, father’s name, date and place of birth); (c) current address; and (d) contact number.
B) Application Form. A foreign applicant should complete this FORM in BLOCK letters.
C) Fingerprints. All ten fingerprints should be taken in the designated form in presence of the Embassy staff. Download fingerprints FORM.
D) Passport Copy
E) Afghanistan visa and Work Permit copy.
F) Employment contract or Employment letter copy.
G) Copy of German Residence Permit.
G) Express/Registered self-addressed envelope. An Express/Registered self-addressed return envelope MUST be included in the postal package. Without this, the Embassy will NOT be able to send you back the certificate. - Fee: Embassy will charge 50.EURO for one application. Payable by EFTPOS at the Embassy by German credit/debit cards.
- The Embassy does NOT accept cash or cheque under any circumstances. Please contact for Bank Account Details.
